Weightless cats - the ultimate cat video?
My cats would *so* not approve of this. My dog, on the other hand… - @acarvin
I especially like the part where the cat learns about Newtonian Physics by getting kicked into the ceiling.

What, Exactly, Is Circling Mercury?
While watching a coronal mass ejection (CME) traveling from the sun, it would appear that one of NASA’s solar observatories has discovered a massive alien spacecraft docked in orbit next to the tiny planet Mercury!
As described by YouTube user siniXster, who used the US Navy’s SECCHI website to gather the images and create a video of the extraordinary extraterrestrial encounter on Dec. 3, it is “definitely some sort of manufactured object.”
“It’s cylindrical on either side, has a shape in the middle… It definitely looks like a ship to me. Very obviously it’s cloaked,” he continued.
“There’s really, absolutely no other explanation for that than some sort of ship.”
there’s video here
Okay, “Dude on the Internet,” could it be that your mind REALLY wants that to be an extra-solar spacecraft and you are spreading misinformation? Couldn’t it be some sort of interference with the instruments taking the image? Should we maybe leave this to the experts that took it? Jumping to the absolute conclusion of “a cloaked ship” is a bit quick without the ability to back up such a claim outside of a single documented anomaly.

A hunk of rock from our solar system’s creation just collided with the atmosphere over Boulder. It burst into a thousand grains of glowing sand, flying down to Utah, or to California, or maybe into a cloud to be rain. This rock is now part of our planet, it joined us and brought new potential. Some people call it a shooting star, I call it our very origin.

Cosmic Bling: Astronomers Find Planet Made of Diamond
“The planet is relatively small at around 60,000 km in diameter (still, it’s five times the size of Earth). But despite its diminutive stature, this crystal space rock has more mass than the solar system’s gas giant Jupiter.
Radio telescope data shows that it orbits its star at a distance of 600,000 km, making years on planet diamond just two hours long. Any closer and it would be ripped to shreds by the star’s gravitational tug.”

It’s “money where your mouth is” time for people who support climate science, want green job creation, and who don’t want to double-down on dirty energy when we could invest the same money in clean power sources for future generations.
” … full exploitation of Canada’s carbon-intensive tar sands could put up to 400 gigatons of new carbon pollution into the atmosphere. That’s enough to constitute “game over” status for efforts to prevent runaway climate change, according to America’s top climate scientist, James Hansen of NASA.”
Washing tar sands will do nothing to change the fact that there is hardly any crude oil left in the world. Washing sand has become one of the viable options in trying to keep this addiction going. The process itself is very wasteful, using thousands of gallons of fresh water, and a hell of a lot of fuel to run heavy machinery. We are spending energy to get much less energy. This can’t continue. Peak oil is past.
