Recognition
Yesterday I got my first recognition from the public as far as my artwork goes. Two people bought my fuctional, funky glazed bowls. I even had a conversation with a woman who bought a bowl and loved the combo of glazes on it. Its so nice to have some public (and monetary) praise!

Artist Statement
In my art I am very interested in the balance of function and aesthetic. Wonderful aesthetic can be a part of any piece with a slight alteration of the structure, some strategic use of texture or just letting the clay be clay. I enjoy using these techniques in my pottery as I continue striving for the perfect balance of function and aesthetic, even though that perfection is unattainable.

Verdict
Okay Tumblr… you win… Twitter sucks, you can’t find anyone who cares about what you post. Tumblr is fast becoming a corner stone of my internet experience. I’m home!
